Logo redesign case study - The Photo Makers

The Photo Makers approached Unique Logo Design in 2008 for a redesign of their logo. As their company name implies The Photo Makers has to do with photo cameras and pictures in general.

The old logo was fine for a few years, but observing their competition, it became clear that an updated company image was needed.

We were recommended to The Photo Makers by a company with whom both Unique Logo and The Photo Makers share a lasting business relationship - Eternity Technologies.

It was unclear for us, in the beginning, where this project lead - we were told to keep the main symbol and try new variants based on it.

Initial Logo Designs

Based on the initial feedback we moved on with the initial logo designs. We used suggested colors and focused on the aperture symbol. We’ve tried various fonts and presented our proposals to the client.

Logo Design Revisions #1

After the initial round of designs the client realized that they are after a modern logo design, possibly even in the web 2.0 logo design direction. We were told to try some new color combinations as well.

We moved forward with a new round of designs around this modern logo design theme and came up with the above logo revisions.

The logo design direction started to get clearer and the new redesigned logo to take shape.

Logo Design Revisions #2

The new round of designs, the last one, came based on the feedback from our client. The design direction was now clear and all we had to do was to follow the last requests and draw the perfect logo for The Photo Makers.

They have selected version #1 from our last round of logo designs. The client was so pleased with the result that they wanted to have their site redesigned by our team.
